Throwing the Hood. Haxey, Lincolnshire. L/S Chief Boggin in traditional dress walking towards one of the pubs carrying the roll of leather 18 inches long which is called the hood. Pan down to the Chief Boggin carrying the hood. M/S as they enter the pub. M/S children in doorway shouting at the ’Fool’. L/S pan the Fool running down road chasing children, he is trying to hit them with a stuffed sock. C/U pan the Fool walking back carrying the stuffed sock. L/S and M/S pan as he chases more children down the street. C/U of the Chief Boggin carrying the hood together with others walking towards the church square. M/S as they approach the church square. M/S of the Fool walking with others. L/S pan as the Fool is chased down the street where he is eventually caught. M/S group of men grappling with the Fool.
