. In France - 1939 (1939)

Unused / unissued material - dates and locations unclear or unknown. France. Various shots of BEF (British Expeditionary Force) troops marching. They stop and put their gas masks on then continue marching along French beach. There is a great long shot of the troops putting their gas masks on. For a moment one only see lines of soldiers putting something between their legs and wonders what is going on - looks odd. Men take their masks out of their bags (the things between their legs), put them on and continue to march. (Neg.) FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
