Toy Soldiers Tattoo (1935)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Title reads: “Toy Soldiers Tattoo“. Cavalry men from the British army (they are carrying lances) ride around on their horses. They are practising for some kind of military tattoo. Young boys dressed as Scottish soldiers practice strange kind of drill / marching - it looks very stiff, as if they are toy soldiers. Closer shots of the boys show that they have rouge on their cheeks, they look even more like toys. The boys march a little more and then stand in ranks. They all fall over - like a row of dominoes. More shots of them marching - they are followed by a mock ambulance pulled by a pantomime horse. Clowns perform stunts - one has his trousers ripped off by a cavalry man ridding past at speed. Riders perform stunts and comic turns. Motorcycle rider performs stunts with other people on the back of the bike. More motorbike stunts. A bagpipe and drum band perform in the stadium.
