A Howitzer gun is pulled into position by soldiers. General JM Rockingham and army officers walk towards camera. The gun is fired to shoot snow down before it comes down in the form of an avalanche. Huge clouds of snow start to fall from the upper regions of the mountains. Machines clear the snow away so that road building gear can be moved on.
