A large man, prizefighter Tommy Loughran, declines Clyde’s offer invitation to get in the cage. Clyde says that the animals were raised on milk. The man says so was he, but he eats meat now. Several shots of Clyde with a whip and chair, coaxing a ferocious tiger into rolling over several times on the sawdust floor. He seems to have an almost hypnotic power over the animal.
