Good Cheer All Round (1962)

Titles read: “GOOD CHEER ALL ROUND“. Various locations of events. Various shots of the huge Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, London, lit up. Norwegian girls in traditional dress hold hands and sing as they walk round the Christmas tree. At Gatwick Airport we see pilot Douglas Myres dressed as Father Christmas getting into a helicopter. Douglas takes off in the ’copter and flies off across the countryside. Children at the Pestalozzi Village (for refugee children) near Battle in East Sussex look skywards, waiting for the copter to arrive. The chopper comes in to land. Douglas gets out and waves. The children wave back. Santa Claus hands out presents to the children. At Harlow Youth Club in Essex we see various shots of teenagers taking part in a Christmas pudding eating contest. Teenagers wearing party hats sit at tables and are served with Christmas pud. Several shots of the children eating rapidly (or slowly, in some cases) and asking for second helpings.
