Butterfly Farm (1953)

Butterfly Farm, Bexley in Kent. C/U Hands removing lid from plastic box - inside are caterpillars and eggs of Indian Moon moth. M/S He places them into a muslin bag by brushing them off a piece of paper. C/U M/S Brushing them into the bag. C/U Brushing them into a bag, and then folding the end of the bag over. M/S Tying the end of the bag which is resting in jar of water to feed plant - places it with another pile of jars and bags. M/S Examining one of the bags and taking it out of the room. M/S Carrying it to a woman in the garden. M/S She holds open a large bag on a plant - he removes plant from his small bag and places it, with caterpillars, in the large one. C/U Folding up large bag. M/S and C/U Caterpillar on leaf. C/U Caterpillar of Spurge Hawk Moth on twig. M/S Man enters shed carrying cocoons and places them on bench amid others - they are cocoons of the Moon Moth. C/U Man places cocoons on bench, he places twigs amongst them. M/S He holds up twig - on it is Tree of Heaven moth with wings out
