Thought to be Selected Originals from late 1940s material. New York City, United States of America (USA). Various shots of Winston Churchill riding in an open car through New York streets. Lines of body guards walk alongside car, newsreel camera crews film from vehicles on either side. M/S of Churchill getting out of car and greeting Mayor William O’Dwyer. M/S of crowd of holding anti-Churchill posters with slogans such as “Repudiate Churchill’s Call for War against Soviet Union“ and “Blood, Sweat and Tears for Churchill’s World War III“. Various shots of police arresting some of demonstrators (narrator describes them as Communists). C/U of Churchill speaking at welcoming official dinner.
