Fashion Goes To The Head! (1934)

Titles read: “Fashion goes to the head!“ London. Various shots of women modelling “fantasy head-dresses“ from the Hairdressing Fair at Olympia. All the headpieces are made out of hair - yeuch! First we see a huge butterfly resting on top of a wig. Another woman wears a wig with a hair hat on the top - this one is apparently green! We see a woman wearing the ’Princess Marina’ hairstyle. Then a huge ostrich feather fan worn on the head - the feathers are actually hair mounted on a wire frame. The next woman wears a trellis on her head, complete with flowers, spider and web. The last head-dress is covered with peacock feathers spread out like a tail - all made from hair again. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
