La troupe la disperse sans mansuetude apres quelques corps a corps dans les rues de la capitale americaine.“ American voiceover. Washington DC, United States of America. Members of the Bonus army are ordered to leave derelict buildings they had been occupying. Some of the men resist and are carried away by police. The peaceful scene begins to turn into a scuffle as more men are lead away by police. Large crowds are gathered on the roads leading to the Capitol building. Cavalry of the regular army ride down the street clearing the crowds. They are followed by small tanks (this is Pennsylvania Avenue). Horsemen move back the crowd as do infantry who are carrying rifles with fixed bayonets. LS of smoke rising from Bonus Army encampment which has been set on fire by the American troops.
