Harry Tate (1934)

Titles read: “NOW Pathe Pictorial has pleasure in presenting - Another famous Variety & Broadcasting Star - HARRY TATE in ’How are you?’ (assisted by Harry Tate Jnr.)“. Pathe Studio, London. The set is dressed to look like a country lane outside a pub called ’Ye Mitre’. We see Harry Tate Jnr coming out of the pub and saying “Hello old man, fancy seeing you here!“ to Harry Tate Snr, who was about to go in for a drink. The younger man asks if Harry remembers him and Harry says he doesn’t. They then engage in some crosstalk about where they knew each other from, with Harry still denying having met the other man before. Lots of moustache wiggling from Harry. He gets exasperated and tries to go into the pub, but the other man stops him saying “I must make you remember where I saw you last“. More chat follows with Harry still none the wiser. In the background we see a woman closing the pub window and door. Harry eventually asks the man what he’s getting at and the man just says “Well, er... how
