Titles read: ’PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD’. Various locations of events. In Garlinge, Isle of Thanet in Kent, we see a young woman called Miss Wright delivering tea to workmen who are digging up a road. She carries the tea on her back in a small urn. Also in Thanet we see three young women building a house. One carries bricks on a hod as she climbs up a ladder. The others are seen laying bricks. They stop for lunch and sit on the scaffolding to have a cup of tea from a thermos flask and a cigarette. Shot of men climbing over the wreck of a house that has fallen down - the inference being that the girls cannot build a house properly - huh! In Russia we see various shots of a large weaving mill where a 21-year-old girl called Dousay Vinogradova is working 216 looms simultaneously. She has apparently broken the previous weaving record which was 96 looms. We see her checking each machine without rushing. She looks at some of the cloth she has produced and is congratulated by co-worke
