This is a relatively short cover compared to most of my previous ones, but this is one I’ve wanted to do for a little while now, and C418’s music from the Minecraft soundtrack absolutely invokes a certain nostalgic quality that I wanted to try and capture here. The only instruments used in this track are electric and bass guitar; in the words of 1970’s Queen, “No synthesizers!“. The “strings“ are comprised of 3 voices, with each voice triple tracked for extra width. To me the clean sound I got here is *the* Jazz Chorus sound -- crystal clean, compressed enough so that every note is even without being obviously squashed -- and of course with the signature Roland stereo chorus.
