An abandoned Soviet military base called Vogelsang stands 65 km (40 miles) north of Berlin and remains hidden in the forest since Moscow’s troops withdrew in 1994, Wednesday. The Soviet village covered once around 2,000-hectare and was inhabited by more than 15,000 soldiers and their families.
