Thursday 30th November 2023... Tis with a heavy heart I have just seen the news the inimitable Shane MacGowan has sadly passed away today aged 65... Shane was indeed one of a kind in everything he did from his unique vocal style to his songwriting and even looks. For me it was all of those unique qualities about him that made me a lifelong fan of The Pogues and for over four decades brought me so much enjoyment listening too and watching him and the band perform... There was and only ever will be one Shane MacGowan and I am grateful that I was fortunate enough to be around when he gave to the world his very, very unique talents and a legacy that will live on forever...
