U.S. troops in Syria continue to smuggle Syrian oil to Iraq

A convoy of U.S. troops stationed in Syria smuggled tons of Syrian oil in 55 tankers, transporting it through the illegal al-Mahmoudiya crossing point from northeastern Syria into Iraq, Syrian Arab News Agency reported on Monday. The Syrian authorities have repeatedly accused the U.S. and the armed militias of controlling 90 percent of northeast Syria’s crude oil resources.
