Iceland Volcano Update; Gas is Rising from the Ground at the Krysuvik Volcano

On September 10th of 2023, unusually warm patches of ground were observed alongside volcanic gas rising from those same patches in an area where they did not previously exist. It appears that some form of changes are occurring to the Krysuvik volcano’s hydrothermal system, although this is not neccessarily caused by underlying magma. This video outlines three possibilities as to why these new fumarole gas vents may have appeared.
