Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy 4K I doubt that there are many rock fans out there that have never heard of the Led Zeppelin song Whole Lotta Love. In fact, they have probably heard it so many times that to hear any variation of it or having this song reimagined might seem awkward or even wrong. Often times here at Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, we try to take the most epic and difficult songs to sing in all of rock and pop history, and ratchet it up a notch or two. In addition, often times, we will have the girls sing guys songs and guys sing girls songs and so the very nature of this is a considerable departure from the original. However, we pay special attention and detail to doing our best to honor the original integrity of the song and the artists’ intent. Whole Lotta Love is no exception. I personally believe when doing a cover song that we should get as close to the original artist as possible, but also add our own flair, artistry and personality to the song. This is precisely what I set out to do. I added the main theme of Robert Plant, his inflections and notes. But then, I also mixed in a little bit of Ken Tamplin, David Coverdale, and Lou Gramm.
