Celebrities Withdraw Support From Biden Amid Questions About His Mental Fitness

Hollywood, long a hotbed of support for the Democratic Party, is turning on Joe Biden. Micheal Douglas has been the latest American celebrity to suggest he may not be fit to run for President. The actor said it’s ‘hard to imagine’ the 81-year-old serving a full term. Fellow actor George Clooney wrote an opinion piece this week calling for Mr Biden to step aside as a candidate. The Hollywood star his a prominent fundraiser for the Democratic Party - as are many of his peers. Novelist and Screenwriter Ayelet Waldman halted her donations to Democrat candidates until Biden steps down from the race. John Cusack and Stephen King have also said that the President should throw in the towel. Joe Biden’s mental fitness has been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks. The 81-year-old has made series of blunders that have made question whether or not he’s fit to run as the Democratic candidate in the US’s upcoming election. Biden, however, has maintained that he intends to move forward as the democratic candidate.
