Grigory Sokolov plays Chopin Nocturne

I have lately come to realize that Sokolov is easily the greatest living pianist. He unlocks the absolute essence of every composer he plays. No other pianist matches his rich palette of colors or range of sonorities. His Bach rivals Gould, his Beethoven equals Serkin, Barenboim and Perehia, his Chopin rivals Rubinstein and Horowitz, his Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev rival Richter and Gilels. He could give master classes to Kissin and Pogorelich and utterly buries Argerich. He’s simply the best. Так и есть
