Deck In The Pit - “In A Lane“ (2021, full album)

Absolutely fabulous, this unparalleled monstrosity has the nerve to remind me a lot of The Fall’s glorious early recordings.... But, believe it or not, and despite being made 40 years later, this massive post-punk-avant-garde contraption is much more angular and disjointed, and therefore also crazier and perhaps less accessible, albeit with a juicy, ultra-addictive junkyard feeling that has made the hairs on the back of our necks stand on end! Deck In The Pit was a short-lived trio created around 2016 in Brisbane, led by Kitchen’s Floor, Glen Schenau, along with Steven Blutape of Piss Pain and Steven Blutape of the act “Sydney 2000“. This release on Tropical Cancer Rort collects the entirety of all their work done in the barely a year they existed, and when you hear it you’re going to be thankful that this rare and precious gem has not been forgotten! 00:00 01.
