First Light with the Celestron Origin Home Observatory
In this video, I get the opportunity to use the Celestron Origin home observatory and capture first light.
I could not believe how easy Origin was to set up and get imaging. The whole setup took me no more than fifteen minutes, and once hooked up to the WiFi the telescope takes less than three minutes to start up and initialize, focus and plate solve its starting position. From there, you simply choose your first object to image through the tonight’s best list, search menu, or interactive sky map.
This has fundamentally changed my personal expectations of astrophotography. The easy of use and time that I save will now allow me to image more nights than I have ever felt were possible, and has opened up the possibilities for more people to experience our amazing hobby of amateur astronomy.
