Watch a delivery of cargo, science, and supplies launch to the International Space Station! NASA, Northrop Grumman, and SpaceX are targeting 11:29 a.m. EDT (1529 UTC) on Saturday, Aug. 3, for liftoff of Northrop Grumman’s uncrewed Cygnus spacecraft, carried on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
Scientific investigations traveling in the spacecraft include tests of water recovery technology and a process to produce blood and immune stem cells in microgravity, studies of the effects of spaceflight on engineered liver tissue and microorganism DNA, and live science demonstrations for students.
