Crimea’s incongruous reality and nostalgia, captured on 8mm film by Alexei Kurbatov and Alexander Pavlov in their music video for the now defunct group Curd Lake. A certain naivety – expressed in shots of nature and simple things – combines with a disturbing sense of the impending “Crimean Spring.”
