Greetings!
Tartare is a dish that fully surprised me when I first tried it as a young chef, and I’ve been making it ever since. It’s a favourite in our family and if you feel like mixing it up and going French, it’s a delicious dish to share with your loved ones on a beautiful summers day.
Finely chop the following…
Grass fed and finished steak (I used eye fillet)
Shallot/onion of choice
Pickled cucumber/cornichon
Capers
Herbs of choice such as chives, parsley, chervil, tarragon.
Organic tomato sauce/ketchup
Organic French mustard
Organic egg yolk (chook or duck)
Sea salt and cracked pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
Crisps of choice.
