The set time4 Acts 1:7 New International Version 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority... As we see our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ about to ascend back to heaven we see him giving very important instructions to his disciples. The disciples much like you and much like me they wanted to know exactly when God was going to do certain things but Jesus let them know that there are some times and some dates that God will share with us and then there are other times and dates that God will not share with us. My prayer for you and my prayer for me may we accept the times and dates that God reveals to us and we take by faith the times and the dates that he does not. Acts was written in Greek, presumably by St. Luke the Evangelist in Rome. The Gospel According to Luke concludes where Acts begins, namely, with Christ’s Ascension into heaven. Acts was apparently written in Rome, perhaps between 70 and 90 ce, though some think a slightl
