Taste as you go and adjust the sweetness to your preference. Add to a 11x8 casserole dish (anything similar in size works fine). Make your topping by adding the flour, baking powder, sugar, and butter together. Work the butter in with your hands as seen in the video. Next, bring your water to a boil and then slowly mix that in to form a batter. Spoon the topping on top of the peaches and bake in a 425 degree oven for about 30 mins or until browned and bubbly. Check often to ensure it gets the color your desire. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream. (Apple Crumble) Apple Filling: 2lbs Apples (Honey Crisp, Fuji, etc) 3 tbsp melted unsalted butter 3 tbsp water 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp flour 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 2 pinches of salt light dusting of cinnamon sugar Optional: 1 shot of bourbon or cognac Topping: 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt 1/3 cup cold butter (cubed) cinnamon to taste Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Next, add cubed butter and blend until a crumble forms. Place in the fridge the chill. Next, in a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter, flour, Vanilla, and lemon juice. Next, stir in 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and pinch of salt. Taste as you go and adjust as needed. Add sliced apples and toss to coat evenly.
