Engine Block PC

This is the theme build that inspired Jayz2cents recent video to create a PC built into a foam mock up block. Mine is built into the aluminum engine block out for my SVT terminator cobra. this was built roughly a month ago and was shown over facebook mostly. Jayz2cents video: Originally this motor made 660 horsepower and revved to over 7500 RPM! Now it’s clocked to 5.1 ghz! The idea for this build came as a result of the engine in my SVT cobra mustang deciding it was done with life and soon there after sent a rod through the block. Initially I wanted to turn the blown engine into a table or something like that since it was the original motor to the car and it holds sentimental value to me. That’s when the idea came to me, why don’t I combine my two favorite things in this world, my love for all things automotive and PC hardware. Thus the engine block pc was born! This is the seccond iteration of the build. It’s always going to change as new ideas come since there isn’t much to compair it with, having it be built on something never designd to be a computer in any way shape or form. The original layout had the motherboard mounted virtical with the radiators suspended off each side of the block. It allowed the cylinders to be illuminated but made the build more cluttered looking and more bulky overall. I then decided that the components I had used for my previous build were no longer going to work for this idea and I needed a smaller motherboard so that I can tuck it down deeper into the engine and make the build more streamlined and compact. Less is more after all. I had started off with the Crosshair VI extreme edition and a ryzen 9 3900x that I had been useing for quite some time. It’s a very capable set up and I was happy with it but the size of that board made my vision of what I wanted this build to look like an impossibility unfortunately.
