Sonny & Cher open the show with “You Are the Sunshine of My Life.“ The clip contains the entire opening sequence of the episode broadcast 3/7/76, including “The Beat Goes On“ slate that preceded the opening number, which was used during the first season (it was not used in season 2 (1976-1977). At the end of the song, the rear camera also shows how the studio audience was situated in Studio 41 at CBS’ Television City.
