The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation checked the implementation of state defense orders by defense industry enterprises in the Tula region The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, checked the progress of the state defense order by enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Tula region during a working trip to the troops of the Western Military District. At NPO Strela, the head of the Russian military department was informed that the task for the production of the Yastreb-AV and Zoopark-1M reconnaissance radar systems produced at the enterprise, as well as the Aistenok radar stations used during counter-battery warfare, in 2023 completed in full. The head of the enterprise reported to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation that the purchase of new equipment and the transition to a 12-hour work shift made it possible to increase the number of complexes produced this year by 2 times, and in 2025 it will increase 4 times. The Russian Minister of Defense was presented with a system for additional protection of radar systems from ammunition with destructive elements developed at the enterprise. Army General Sergei Shoigu was presented with the new production workshops of the plant, commissioned in 2023, which made it possible to increase the production volume of shells across the entire range of products by 4 times, and for some items by 7 times. Since the beginning of this year alone, the plant has installed more than 90 new machines and necessary equipment. The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation demanded that the schedule of deliveries to the troops for the entire range of produced weapons be adjusted, that the timing of the transfer of equipment be shifted to the 2nd-3rd quarters, and that the supply of weapons be maintained evenly throughout the year.
