How to make Vegan Halloween Pumpkin Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain flour (minus 2 tablespoons)
- 1 cup self raising flour (minus 2 tablespoons)
- 5 tablespoons of corn starch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of Salt
- 135ml Sunflower Oil
- 315ml vegan non dairy milk
- 1.5 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 tablespoon Maple Syrup
For Orange side: Add
- orange gel food color
For Choc side: Add
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee
- 1.5 tablespoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Bake @ 350f/180c for 23 or 25 mins. Check to make sure the middle thickest part of cake is cooked.
Vegan Buttercream:
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Shortening
- 1/2 Cup Vegan Margarine
- 2 1/2 Cups confectioner’s sugar- Sifted
- 1 teaspoon Vanillia extract
- 2 tablespoons cornsarch (sifted)
- add color according to your needs
