Jonas Kaufmann - Wien, Wien, nur du allein - Live from Vienna

Jonas Kaufmann launched his new album “Wien” - a deeply personal tribute to Vienna’s world-famous melodies - in Vienna’s beautiful Konzerthaus with Jochen Rieder conducting the PKF Prague Philharmonia and Rachel Willis-Sørensen as guest soprano. The concert forms part of the TV film “Mein Wien” which will be shown on ÖRF III on December 15 & on ARTE in France and Germany on December 21, 2019. ► Listen & purchase the album here: On his new album “Wien”, none other than the Vienna Philharmonic is a more natural fit for such a recording of evergreen hits from Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár and Robert Stolz as well as Georg Kreisler and Peter Kreuder, with the varied programme conducted by Ádám Fischer. Soprano Rachel Willis-Sørensen joins on three duets, including the title melody of Wiener Blut. Jonas Kaufmann will take the same programme on a European tour in January 2020.
