Round table: “Knowledge Brings Us Together: The 55th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad”
On April 20, 2021, the 55th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad starts. How did you manage to preserve and over the course of several decades develop a unique educational project that annually brings together national teams of young chemists from almost 30 countries, including all the former republics of the USSR? What is the place of IMChO in the system of international scholastic Olympiads? What does a victory in the International Mendeleev Olympiad give? How is the preparation going today? Which Russian schoolchildren will represent our country at IMChO-55 this year?
The round table passed on the eve of the 55th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad. IMChO is the successor of the All-Union Chemistry Olympiad and continues its traditions and numbering. The competition is held annually in late April - early May. Recent secondary-school graduates and seniors from among the winners of national chemistry Olympiads participate in IMChO as individuals.
