Scars Above creates a forbidden planet with Unreal Engine

In the third-person action adventure game Scars Above, a scientist must explore the mysterious alien world she finds herself trapped on. Inspired by films like Alien and Forbidden Planet, Mad Head Games developed an experience that’ll test your survival and combat skills. At GDC 2023, Game Director Ivan Zorkic explains how Blueprints and other Unreal Engine features made a complete package that allowed the team to tell the tale of a world lost to corruption and decay.
