Full title reads: “King Gustave [sic] (whose ancestor King Gustave, founded regiment in 1525) at 400th anniversary celebrations of his Royal Lifeguards“. Stockholm, Sweden. L/S of battalion of soldiers - the Royal Lifeguards - marching into courtyard. The courtyard looks like it is in palace or grand building. L/S of officers on horseback riding into courtyard led by King Gustav of Sweden. M/S of King presenting regimental flag to another officer on horseback. Elderly King has some trouble controlling disobedient horse. L/S of battalion, in front of them 4 soldiers wave regimental flags. Good M/S of King on horseback saluting. M/S of foot soldiers carrying regimental flags and banners passing saluting King, they are followed by more soldiers in busbies. High angled L/S of troops marching down crowd lined streets, next to sea. Large Swedish flag flies above them. Note: title misspells King’s name - should be Gustav. AH 2001.
