It Happened In Holland (1930)

“Holland, land of canals, windmills, clogs - and cheeses! And Dutch Girls as busy as beavers.“ M/S of a Dutch woman in traditional dress walking towards the camera in front of a windmill. She holds the lead of a dog which is attached to a cart holding two milk churns. A boy walks behind guiding the cart. As they pass by, a little boy is revealed to have been walking behind them - cute! The cart is pushed towards some outbuildings. M/S of a woman standing at a large wooden tub. She is making cheese. “Life here is just one cheese after another.“ C/U of an older woman pushing milk curds into a mould. This is placed with other moulded cheeses. C/U of two women wrapping the cheese in muslin then putting them back in the moulds. “The kind of cheeses that would make good cannon balls, in emergency - “ M/S of the balls of cheese all lined up together. M/S of two women painting on what I presume is wax. (These look like the Edam cheese which has the red wax outer covering). M/S of man throwing
