Full title reads: “Home Defence“. Woodford, Essex. MS. Home Guard sentry stopping King George VI and checking his papers before allowing him to enter a camp at Woodford, Essex. VS. of the King reviewing a parade of Home Guardsmen drawn up for his inspection, they give him three cheers. CU Lieutenant General Sir Alan Brooke (later Viscount Alanbrooke) who is the C-in-C of the Home Forces. VS Good shots of coastal defence forces on manoeuvres. The heavy coastal defence guns are manned at the double and then fired while infantry train on the cliff top practising a bayonet charge down the cliffs to engage any enemy attacking from the beach.
