Venezuela is engulfed in mass protests following Nicolas Maduro’s victory in the presidential elections

▪️The opposition alleges massive falsifications in the presidential elections.
▪️The National Electoral Council announced that the incumbent president garnered 51.2% of the votes, while the candidate from the united opposition, Edmundo Gonzales, received 44%.
▪️Protests are taking place simultaneously in several major cities. There have been 187 protests recorded in 20 states.
▪️Demonstrators are blocking roads, throwing Molotov cocktails, and burning posters of Maduro.
