The partnership, which is the first of its kind for the Department for Education, sees Jamal Edwards work alongside seven apprentices to record, produce, and launch an exclusive new soundtrack and music video to celebrate apprenticeships. The project is designed to showcase apprentice talent and the diverse range of opportunities that apprenticeships offer, beyond those that might traditionally be associated with this career route. Jamal Edwards is the executive producer for the track, which is produced by Teddy Music. It features grime artist P Money, supported by apprentices from professions spanning drone engineering, sound and video production, lighting and hair & make-up. The lyrics are inspired by P Money’s own experience of starting out in his career and reflect the spark, energy and determination of apprentices.
