Kate Hudson & Octavia Spencer Tease “More Personal“ Season 2 of ’Truth Be Told’ | THR Interview

Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson spoke to THR about co-starring in season two of the Apple TV series “Truth Be Told,” which marks Hudson’s first lead role in a TV show. Hudson opened up about what made her want to join the project, as well as what it was like working with Spencer, who plays journalist turned true-crime podcaster Poppy Parnell. Meanwhile, Spencer revealed how things get even scarier and more personal for Poppy in season two. Plus, since Hudson once played journalist Andie Anderson in the iconic 2003 romantic comedy “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” she revealed if she gave Spencer any advice on playing a “hard-hitting“ journalist.
