Kamala Harris has praised Joe Biden’s legacy as “unmatched in modern history” in her first speech since the US president ended his re-election bid. Ms Harris said Mr Biden, who is currently isolating with Covid at his home in Delaware, had “wanted to be here today” and was making a swift recovery.
