Russian FPV Drone Destroys $9M Missile System; Ukraine Faces Heavy Losses and New Attacks

Russian forces have intensified their offensive by using an FPV drone to destroy a French-made Crotale missile system worth nearly $9 million. This attack highlights the escalating conflict in Eastern Europe, as the relatively inexpensive drone, valued at around $660, took out a high-value target designed to intercept Russian helicopters. Major General Apty Alaudinov confirmed the strike and reported that Russian forces have also dismantled eight pieces of Ukrainian military equipment, including a tank and three armored combat vehicles. The Russian Defense Ministry claims over 300 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed in the Kursk area in the past 24 hours, pushing the total Ukrainian military losses to over 4,700. The Federal Security Service (FSB) has opened criminal investigations into several journalists, including CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh, for alleged illegal border crossings into the Kursk Region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces attacked a fuel-laden railroad ferry in the Krasnodar Region, leading to a class 3 fire and the ferry’s sinking, with rescue operations ongoing. Russian President Vladimir Putin has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about a recent attempted strike on the Kursk nuclear power plant. Local governors are currently overseeing emergency evacuations and security measures as the situation unfolds. #etnow #worldnews #englishnews #trending #topnews Subscribe To ET Now For Latest Updates On Stocks, share market, business News, Trading, Crypto Updates | To Stay Updated Download the Times Now App :- Android Google Play : Apple App Store : Social Media Links :- Twitter - Facebook - G - Website - Subscribe Now To Our Network Channels:- Times Now: Mirror Now:
