Legs & Co - I Feel Love [Version 1] - TOTP TX: 21/07/1977

Dave Lee Travis looks at the weekly pop chart from 21st July 1977 and introduces John Miles, Tavares, Bay City Rollers, Broherhood of Man, The Jam, Alessi, Barry Biggs, Smokie, Fleetwood Mac, The Rah Band, Danny Williams, Queen, Boney M and a Legs & Co dance sequence. Well what can I say, probably the finest 5 min slab of Disco black plastic ever to grace the record buying public. Years in advance production on this disco galloper, and the TOTP audience, let alone the dancers haven’t really the foggiest what to do with it. Flick Colby has her work cut out on this beast, very difficult to dance to in the constraints of a dingy TOTP studio on a small stage, let alone in a club atmos. So the routine calls for lots of skirt shaking, lots of lights and image overlay. Slightly out of time (in both senses of the word) dancing and off choreography by said Ms Colby, gives this a slight wasted opportunity. Shame really it’s not the worse of the run of I Feel Love appearances,
