Gemini 6: Jingle Bells

Astronaut Wally Schirra becomes the first human to perform on a musical instrument (an 8-note Hohner “Little Lady“ harmonica) in space, and in so doing creates the first musical broadcast from space. December 16, 1965. The harmonica now resides in The Smithsonian. This video was included in our December 16, 2012 Christmas show, just before we performed our own version of ’Jingle Bells’.
