Dave Johnston (RIP) (Feb. 22, 1959- Nov. 20, 2017) 5 time world kickboxing champion WKA His Record 58-9 (16 KO’s) He lifelong career developed from judo training begun at the age of 6, followed by numerous other martial arts systems. He eventually earned five professional kickboxing world championship titles and a ninth-degree black belt. Mr. Johnston was inducted into the Kenpo Hall of Fame and was honored with two inductions into the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In 1983, he moved to Los Angeles, where he appeared in several television shows and movies. He greatly enjoyed the film industry, even working behind the camera. David Ian Johnston, 58, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from complications following cardiac surgery.
