Debugging a Furby Connect

I’ve been meaning to do this video for a while. Simple debugging tricks with nrfConnect and Furby Connect. These debugging commands are just purely to get Furby to say phrases it knows and also reveal some secret phrases it would not otherwise say. You can get the antenna colour to change colour and also get it to say its name, as well as turning the LEDs off in its eyes, at least until it next says something and they come back on again. If you want to try doing this yourself, remember you do it at your own risk. Nothing should go wrong since it’s just sending command prompts to Furby to get it to speak but like with anything, it might mess up. As I was told by Jeija who taught me how to do this, it’s up to you whether you want to have a go. Firstly you need to download nrfConnect onto your device. Wake Furby up and then open the nrfConnect app. Find Furby on the app and connect it. Tap on the “Unkown“ option and then the little arrow in the second section that is pointing upwards, as you see me do in the video. Then in the text box, type db and tap Send. It will be in debug mode. The following commands can now be used. Don’t forget to delete each one from the text box before typing in the new one and tapping Send. cd00 - Turns off the LEDs in the eyes until Furby speaks again 14 #(numeric colour code) - changes the colour of the antenna LED to whatever colour you put in The b command makes Furby talk about what videos are in the theater on Furby Connect World 13004b000001 - Furby talks about a video from the movie theater in Furby Connect World (in this case a muscular baby) The a command makes Furby Talk about “dreams“. There was a theory that different sleep masks would be made available and each one would have a theme. There are others and you can change the last number on the “b“ input as I did in the video to get Furby to say other video related phrases.
