Memes. Memes have changed. It’s no longer about the simple spread of ideas where the dominant survive and replicate much like dna. It’s an endless spew of retreaded jokes, cringe tik tok dances, and micro celebrity tweets. Memes dominate our culture through abuse of internet algorithms and spam bots. Meme pages modify an old post, that post gets reposted, and then it’s modified and posted again. Internet algorithms monitor trends, then push content that’s the most engaging. The most engaging content tends to be rage bait and sexual innuendo resulting in the rise of shock content and a million variations of -ussy. The age of free and open internet has become the age of technocracy. All in the name of maximizing online ad revenue and preventing disinformation. The one who controls the memes, controls the world. And once the world is controlled, all you’re going to get are worthless sh*tposts from corporate accounts. And sh*tposts like this one.
