John Williams doesn’t only write excellent scores for films featuring dinosaurs, aliens or wars; he also wrote one of his most recognisable and enjoyable scores for this classic Christmas comedy and its sequel. In this scene he uses an upbeat rendition of his ’Star of Betlehem’ theme to accompany the montage showing Kevin set up all his famous booby traps, as he awaits the arrival of the Wet Bandits.
