The Game (Part 1) - The Documentary 2, Working With Nas, Crips vs. Bloods

It’s been seven years since we last chopped it up with The Game. He covered Mass Appeal Issue #50 (can’t make this stuff up) back in March 2008 with a cover story by our now creative director, Sacha Jenkins. Yesterday, in the midst of his New York run—minutes after dropping the bombshell news that he’d be releasing a double-disc album—his two busloads of entourage poured into our SoHo offices. And once again, it was gametime. Along with sharing his thoughts on L.A. gang culture, Game spoke about how he patched things up with Dr. Dre after the beef with 50 Cent, reminisced about putting Kendrick on his first mixtape, shared what he would have changed about the bio-pic, and offered some advice to Meek Mill. He also spoke in detail about “Ghetto“ his new collab with Nas, revealed which emcees he’d put on his personal rap Mt. Rushmore, and uttered what is without a doubt the illest Rihanna lyric in the history of rap.
Hate it or love it, all you can do is charge it to The Game.
