Darryl Way’s Wolf - Canis Lupus 1973 (UK, Progressive Jazz Rock) Full Album

After initially leaving Curved Air, violinist Darryl Way formed his own band, Darryl Way’s Wolf (also known as simply Wolf), consisting of guitarist John Etheridge (who later joined Soft Machine), bassist and vocalist Dec Messecar (later of Caravan and Strawbs) and drummer Ian Mosley (later Trace and Marillion). This line-up recorded two albums: Canis Lupis with producer Ian MacDonald of King Crimson and Saturation Point (both 1973). The group also released non-album singles “Spring Fever”, “Five in the Morning”, “A Bunch of Fives” and gave a concert for the BBC at the Paris Theater in London. In 1974, Wolf included vocalist John Hodkison and the group recorded the album Night Music, considered the best. At the end of the tour, Way disbanded Wolf and reformed Curved Air with Sonya-Christina.
